Thornton House

A Seamist Bay Novel by Judith Luke

An inherited estate. A string of “accidental” deaths. A treasure someone is willing to kill for.

From the moment you step into Thornton House, you’ll be swept away across glittering blue waters and into a mystery that refuses to loosen its grip.

Early readers in the United States are calling it:

“Judith Luke at her best!”

“Hard to put down once you start reading.”

“Sizzles with heat and suspense.”

“Riveting… a heartwarming story.”

When the heroine inherits a grand but shadowed estate, she quickly realizes the past isn’t buried—it’s waiting. Hidden money, suspicious “accidents,” and whispered secrets cling to the walls of Thornton House. And just next door? A charming, intelligent neighbor who is more than willing to help her uncover the truth.

Together they sail the coast, follow dangerous clues, and risk everything to expose the identity of the person responsible for the tragedies that haunt the estate. But as their investigation deepens, so does the danger.

Will they uncover the treasure before someone else escapes with it?

Blending romance, family drama, and pulse-racing suspense, Thornton House builds to a surprise—but deeply satisfying—ending that will leave you eager for the next installment in the Seamist Bay Series.

Readers agree: once you start, you won’t want to put it down.

BOOK 2 COMING SOON!

About the author

Judith lives in Florida with her husband and canine administrator, Toby. In between golf and MahJongg, she writes. She called Colorado home for most of her adult life.

When she bought two horses for her children to ride, she didn’t realize it would grow to a herd of registered Paint horses, lessons for herself, and training for her horses, not to mention lots of travel to shows.

Driving to Wyoming to visit family and enjoying the wide-open land was the creative inspiration for the fictional farm community called Bantry and the mountain formation Hightower Mountain in SECRETS OF THE HEART.

The second book in this series, RETURN TO HIGHTOWER, is in progress and focuses on Adam’s younger brother Steve Tower and his lost love, Desiree Lorde. Both novels are stand-alone reads. She hopes to have it out by summer.
