Book Review - The Sunwright Chronicles: Empire at War By Kevin M. Villegas

Just had to share the latest review for my novel!

It is by Giovanni Gelati

Now if you go through my booklists on Goodreads or check out my archives on Gelati's Scoop you will find that I don't groove on this genre too much. I tried this novel to see if I could enjoy the genre and the author intrigued me.

Was I let down? No way, I was pleasantly surprised. The author, Kevin M. Villegas created a very nice universe here. He painted it with very nice strokes, creating images that took me away to a time far in the past during which I found being a resident for a short time, enjoyable. His ability to describe the action scenes and landscape gave me the feeling of walking through the woods with his characters and smelling the rotting leaves and horse hockey. I give this novel a big yes; don't pass this up whether you enjoy this genre or not. At bare minimum, put it in your Goodreads -to read- list.

Book review by Darkiss Reads

Darkiss Reads Blog:

The world of Angels in which Patti Roberts creates is one of greed, power, sex, control with a bit of conspiracy theory which lays the ground work for the war between good and evil.

But who is good and who is evil remains to be seen. Her world of Angels is multi-faceted and for a brief moment I was immersed into their world and presented with very complex and twisted characters and I found myself wanting more.

The author has truly created a villain worth reading, he is dark and so very bad that you can’t help but want to see more of his dammed soul. Read more…

Book 2 is the story that will please most. However I felt obliged to begin with the young Grace to built the foundation for book 2.

Again, thank you very much, I appreciated your time in reviewing my book.

Many thanks Patti

Maverick [Kindle Edition] BY Greg Curtis

G. M. Curtis says:

Hi, This is the blurb from my new novel Maverick.

Exiled for accidentally killing a fellow student wizard during a magic duel, Marjan has had to forge himself a new life, a quiet life deep within the Alyssian Forest and far from the Guild.

As a maverick wizard his life is far from perfect, and its never what he dreamt of as a student in the Guild, but its peaceful and he doesn't have to fear crossing the laws of the Guild.

Then one day seven young children and their teacher came crashing into his life, fleeing a monstrous enemy of seemingly limitless numbers. Armies of dire beasts led by hideously transformed soldiers are sweeping down from the north, overrunning the cities and driving all before them in an orgy of death and destruction.

To protect his new charges, Marjan must escort them to safety in the southern lands, leaving his home behind perhaps forever, and taking up arms as a wizard, risking the wrath of the Guild as he does so.

So begins Marjan's journey, where he must not just do battle with an enemy to protect the children, but must also face down the demons of his past, and ultimately do battle with the darkest of all enemies.

Biography

Nathaniel Wyckoff was born and raised in the beautiful San Fernando Valley of southern California. From an early age, he was interested in reading, writing and listening to stories.
Though he works in a technical field, he counts storytelling among his favorite activities, belying the notion that scientifically oriented people are "not creative." Nathaniel's storytelling career took flight with the births of his children. His children enjoy all kinds of stories, but most of Nathaniel's stories for them are of the fantasy and adventure variety. Nathaniel's Blog
