Interview with Justice from The Fallen One – Sons of the Dark Mother - Lenore Wolfe

First 5 Chapters – Volume 1 Blog Tour

This post was originally posted on Ritesh Kala’s Book Reviews
Character Interview with Justice from The Fallen One – Sons of the Dark Mother By Lenore Wolfe

JUSTICE, WHO IS THE PRINCE OF FIRE
Justice was cloaked with Fae glamour at a young age to keep the world from knowing his secret. He is the Prince of Fire–one of the rare Starborne of the Jaguar People. When he and his sisters were very young, their parents became side-tracked, suddenly not paying the attention to their kids that they had been. But the kids didn’t learn why for many more years to come….

At 14, Justice is forced to shape-shift, much too young to handle such a power. After that, he becomes hunted–until he becomes the hunter.

They learn that the ancient vamp, Constantine, is the one hunting them. He wants control of all the humans think they control. He wants the humans period. And he wants the Jaguar People, the ancient vamps and Fae armies brought to his feet–to heed his rule. Most of all, he most certainly does NOT want to follow the laws of ancient vamps–the ones who were NOT turned–but learned how to live once more–through the intake of life giving blood.
Constantine has learned to rule through the fighting–and the winning–of many battles. He is a legend who believes he is not bound by ancient law.

Justice and Dracon, who is the Prince of Air, the Prince of Water and the Prince of Earth, as well as the Sisters of Three, and Justice’s own sisters–along with the Alliance and Fae armies–must fight Constantine and his rogue factions of vamps to save Mother Earth from the certain destruction of Constantine’s rule.
~~~~~
Ritesh: I thought it would be very cool to have Justice come over and chat with us. He was very nice and took some time out to come and talk!
JusticeInterview with Justice from
Lenore Wolfe’s The Fallen One
Ritesh: Hi Justice! Good to have you with us today and thank you for agreeing to answer some of my questions. We humans know very little about your people and any information you give us will be extremely helpful.  I will try to not keep you away for too long from your responsibilities. So, let’s get started.
Ritesh: I’ve always wanted to ask, who is a Starborne and what can you tell us about the Jaguar People?
Justice: The Starborne are 5 ancient races of people who brought the original races to Mother Earth many thousands of years ago, when they brought the original stones and the original temples of the people. The Jaguar People were one facet of these people.
In our people there exists a prophesy of one will be born, who will be the Prince of Fire, He will be of white hair and violet eyes, and he will remember the ancient teaching that were forgotten with the fall of Atlantis.
This prophesy also says that he will unite with the Prince of Air, The Prince of Water–and the Prince of Earth to save our Mother Earth from certain destruction, when the Dragon rises up to devour her. The factions of rouge vampires, who are led by Constantine, seek to rule our Mother. Should they succeed, our people would be laid at their feet, along with the Air People and the Water People. And the Earth People, who are brothers of the Fae, would be their slaves–but the humans would become as their cattle–as food–to supply their never-ending thirst for their life blood.
Ritesh: Can you tell us about your childhood? What is the most memorable memory you have?
Justice:  During my childhood, I was cloaked with glamour and made ready to rule. I and my sisters spent our childhoods being taught the ancient way. And we spent many hours in training for war.
But during any idle time, I would always try to be around Jes. If I were to recall a memory, it would be of her laughter as she played with my sisters on a swing set at a human playground.
She was the sweet sunshine of my youth.
Ritesh: How many siblings do you have? Who is your favourite among them?
I have three sisters: Jasmine, Mia and Ophelia. And I love the three of them with all my heart and being. But I was able to spend most of my time with Jasmine, when we spent many years at a time separated after our parents disappeared. So I am probably closest to her.
Ritesh: You were forced to shape-shift at a young age of 14. Can you tell us what happened? How did you handle it?
Many times we were met by human gangs on our way to school, and I was responsible for our younger sisters. I had beat them back, time after time. But they always came back for more. And on that day, they came back with too many for me to beat down. I was slipping into the world beyond–when I felt the change.
My people are not supposed to tap such power until we reach our majority. But I had tapped into my power by touching my death.
On that day, they met their own deaths–and I met the monster inside of me, who was capable of killing….
Ritesh: Can you tell us a bit more about your world, the one we humans do not really seem to know about? Also, can you tell us about all the various beings in this world?
There is a whole world amongst the humans, and yet, the humans remain unaware. We walk among you, work with you, and even try to guide you. But the children of the Earth, the ones who are human, and not Fae, must awaken soon–and take their place beside us–or all will be lost.
The others are the races of Her Waters, the races of Her Air, and the races of Her Fire. To find us–you need only to allow yourself to remember who you are.
Ritesh: You’ve had a tough life thus far. What can you tell us about Constantine and the ancient vamps?
Constantine is an old battle vamp–who loves war. He originally commissioned the writings of your human bible–but he was buried as a Pagan. Yet, many kept secret that he yet lived. The Dark Cloth, the dark forces that hide behind the human governments, seek to control Constantine. Yet, he remains a power unto himself. He seeks only his own power and his own gain. He lives–to find those who can challenge him in battle.
Constantine lives to have war. There is not a battle he does not know–or a strategy of war he has not used personally. He fights only to win. Ruling over humans, and the rest of us is merely a secondary treat for him.
Ritesh: I hear you’re the Prince of Fire. So, what does that mean? What powers do you have? Also, can you tell me about the other princes? How was the Alliance formed?
The Alliance has existed for as long as we have been on Mother Earth. So, too,  has–the Dark. The Alliance was shattered to the corners of Mother Earth by the fall of Atlantis. But slowly, she was rebuilt. Now the many races have been working to bring all of our people back together, and we await the human race.
I have the power of fire–and my shape-shifting abilities. But we have only just brought the Princes of Mother Earth back together–we are only just learning what that means–and what powers that will bring–so stay tuned human–you might learn something yet.
Ritesh: How is the battle progressing? Tell me the truth; do I have something I should be worried about?
We have been working hard, Constantine was only a small portion of what we face as the children of Mother Earth, the Children of Atlantis. Constantine is NOT the Dark Cloth. All of her children must awaken, now! We are at the cusp of a new millennia, but we must be diligent, or all really could be lost….
You have only to worry if your race remains asleep while we battle. There is much to do–talks of which the humans should be taking part. As long as you remain oblivious to the Dark Cloth, they keep you cloaked in your ignorance.
Ritesh: Finally, one last question. How can I contact you if I want more updates about the war and to find out if all of you are fine?
You can write to lenorewolfe@gmail.com. She will know how we are all doing. Or you can simply remember who you are, and you will know yourself.
About the Authors
Patti Roberts
Location Cairns Queensland Australia.
Patti Roberts, an Australian Author currently writing the Paradox Series. This is not a story about Vampires. However, we are talking about a predatory being that existed long before the word Vampire was ever whispered… the real monsters behind the legendary Vampire myths that reigned in Ancient times. They were a race of Fallen Angels called Grigorians. With their black feathered wings and their unyielding taste for human flesh and blood, it is easy to see how the myths about Vampires first began. And so today, while mankind continues to be enthralled by tales about Vampires and such, the real identity of the true villain, the Grigorian, remains hidden and free to walk among us at will...
On any given day you can usually find me sitting at my desk in front of my laptop pounding away at the keys writing another chapter in the Paradox series. That would be a run of the mill kinda day for me!A packet of Cruskits and a water bottle, that is now at room temperature, is sitting on the desk beside me. There is also a mass of USB cables, notepads, bills to be paid, bills to be filed a bunch of pens and a printer that is forever running out of ink. Sound familiar.
On most days I have to remind myself to eat and drink. I Should be thinner!!!I am sure my housemates are very thankful that I still manage (usually at some ungodly hour) to bathe, brush my hair and clean my teeth.
I don’t know about you. But I am usually mortified when visitors just pop around, only to find me sitting at my desk and still in my PJ’s. I don’t even want to broach the hair situation! Did I remember to put last nights dishes away???Now, they say to be a good writer, you must read, read, read. Then read some more…
Thankfully, due to the invention of the electronic reader (I have a kindle and love it) I get to read more these days. Correction… I have my kindle read to me! The only thing is, I have so many great books on my kindle that it is so hard to know where to start. So many choices.
A little more about me… And how you can contact me.
Born in Brisbane Qld Australia.Grew up in Darwin in the NT.
Now living in Cairns Qld.  Where the Rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef.
Thank you to all those souls that have read my book – you make my day!
PS: If you are thinking about popping a round for a coffee, that might be nice. But please give me a quick call first so I can brush my hair and smear a bit of colour across my lips.
Carolyn Hockley
Preparing to launch my first ebook, Arazi Crossing Book One: Quinn’s Evolution. It’s a YA fantasy book – part of a series, in fact. You will always know me as Carolyn Hockley. I like that name. Two wonderful people gave me that name a few years ago. I reside in a wonderful place called Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. I have a family and a lot of cool friends. I am also blessed with a wickedly smart German shepherd named Ginger: we call her “G”. My BF is my biggest fan! He drives me nuts each day, pacing to get his hands on ‘the next chapter’. I wouldn’t have him any other way! I write almost every day, in between my kids’ swim team practices, working two part time jobs and running a modest home. I love to blast my music when I drive, though I always leave the window open a tad so I can hear emergency vehicles approaching :) My fav music is the NOW tunes my kids like – Usher, Katie Perry, Eminem, Rhianna, Gym Class Heroes… love the tunes that make you wanna move. Cheers for now!
Starr West
Starr lives a rural life in Ravenshoe in Far North Queensland, Australia. She is a wife and a mother to four amazing and sometimes boisterous boys. The family has a small menagerie with one cat, four dogs, numerous Chickens, four pet rats, three Jersey cows, two calves, an old retired bay gelding and a very naughty orphan colt.
Writing has always been a passion but it wasn’t until she was asked, ‘If you died tomorrow, what is the one thing you’d regret?’It’s a pretty confronting question but the answer was to write and publish a novel. That was enough motivation to get started and within 6 months, she had finished the first draft of Tomorrows Child, the first book in a series of Paranormal Fantasy Novels.
Starr is involved in a number of community projects and enjoys learning ‘lost skills’ such as baking bread, making soap and candles. Her boys can light a fire with two sticks and find their way out of the rainforest. When she isn’t running after children or writing, she can be found in the garden growing vegetables or in the kitchen making things from scratch.
Guest Post with Lenore Wolfe - Interview with Author Jayde Scott! The Ancient Legends Series
Jayde Scott is author of the Ancient Legends and A Witch Rising series, as well as The Divorce Club and Born to Spy.
Hello, Jayde, and thank you for being here! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Thank you for having me, Lenore. It’s such a pleasure. I’m a born and bred Brit, but I’ve lived all around the world and hence consider myself a bit of a nomad, which reflects a bit in the settings of my novels. As you can probably tell, my stories are all over the place. While I’m best known for creating the Ancient Legends series, which is young adult paranormal romance, I love to dab into unknown waters and try my hand at women’s and teen fiction as well. There are so many fabulous stories to tell that I don’t really want to limit myself to one genre, which is why I prefer to go without a publisher so I can write what I want to write and what my regular readers want to read.
Can you tell us about your love for writing and how it began?
As a child, I was fascinated by the scent and feel of my mother’s romance books and couldn’t learn to read and write fast enough so I could finally write down the stories in my head. I started out with poems and short stories, then moved on to full length fiction when I was a teen. I was an enthusiastic, absorbed writer but could never really finish a story until I discovered my true passion—the paranormal. After that, my love for writing became a consuming obsession.
You have written several books, can you tell us something about them?
My books couldn’t be more different. Even the ones in the series differ in style and voice, which is very much my intention when I write because I want to provide a diverse reading experience. In some way, all my books reveal something about me, from my hopes and dreams to my own experiences and wishful thinking, which makes them special and personal to me.
What do you think inspired your Witch Rising series and your characters?
I’ve always wanted to be a witch, so that wish inspired the story about fourteen-year-old Emily who inherits her grandmother’s legacy and soon finds out spinning magic isn’t as easy as it seems. In fact, she makes one big mistake that opens a portal to the origin of all evil, Black Wood. Now she’s supposed to save the world from the black magic that spreads through Scotland and threatens to destroy the world.
Can you tell us about the world you have created with your Witch Rising series?
The Witch Rising series is also grounded in reality, but there’s also a parallel world which borders on high fantasy with its black magic, mortal trolls, deadly nymphs, and a dark kingdom. The fantasy world is entered through an enchanted mirror but inactive portals can be found all across the country. When the heroine, Emily, unknowingly opens the portals, the fantasy and real world merge, leading to the imminent end of the world, which Emily must prevent.
Can you tell us about the world you have created with your Ancient Legends series?
The Ancient Legends world is a mixture of reality and fiction where supernatural beings live among us without our noticing. They embrace our technology and try to lead a normal life as much as that’s even possible. They also date mortals and have ancient bonds spun by fate with their mortal soul mates, but every bond brings great danger to the mortal soul mate.
You recently released your third book of the series, Ancient Legends, can you tell us something about this series?
Voodoo Kiss, the third book of the Ancient Legends series, is a stand-alone novel that focuses on Sofia, who is a reincarnated voodoo priestess. Sofia’s sister was recently killed. To help her get over her pain, she accompanies her boyfriend to Brazil, where strange things begin to happen. When she’s kidnapped by a bunch of paranormal beings, think vampires and fallen angels, Sofia has to make a difficult decision: trust the sexy demon shape shifter she barely knows whose existence is at risk if he doesn’t get her to do what he wants, which just might involve losing her death, or return to her old life and ignore her true legacy?
You seem to have a great love for the paranormal. Can you tell us what inspired this?
 I’m mostly inspired by mythology but also by vampire classics, both books and movies. I love the paranormal because it’s so much more exciting than real life. In mythology and our fantasy, everything seems possible, which inspires me to get out of my comfort zone and write about all the things that would scare me to death in real life.
When do you expect book four will be published in your Ancient Legends series?
I expect Bewitched to be out by February 2012.
What about book two of you Witch Rising series?
Mortal Star, which is Book Two of the Witch Rising series, has entered the editing process. I hope it will be available for purchase Feb. 2012.
Can you tell us a little bit about you ideas for these?
My series couldn’t be more different. The Ancient Legends books are aimed at a more mature audience with the focus on love and solving various mysteries as well as a darker side of fantasy involving legends and death. The Witch Rising trilogy is aimed at teens and follows one main character, Emily, and her journey as a teen witch. On her journey, she has to master spells and embrace her legacy while defeating various villains that threaten to take over the world. There is also a bit of love and romance, but the main focus is on the action parts and the high fantasy world building.
Which do you think came to you first, the character(s), plot idea of these?
I would say the characters. They’re with me long before I find out who they really are and what their story is.
Do you have any other books, or series, in the works?
I have one series in the works and some women’s fiction projects, which shall be released under a pen name some time next year.
Do you have anything you would like to say to your readers?
Thank you to all my wonderful readers for the immense support and encouragement. I received so many lovely messages for Christmas and New Year, which filled me with joy, and today I’d like to thank each and every one of you for giving my books a try.
Do you think any authors have influenced your writing?
Definitely Anne Rice and JRR Tolkien, but also a few others such as Tracy Chevalier and Holly Black.
Up Close & Personal with Author - Lenore Wolfe with her new book, The Fallen One of the series Sons of the Dark Mother, to be released January 17, 2012 !
Where were you born and where do you call home? I was born in Montana, and grew up in Alaska. I spent time in various states in the West, including Washington state and Colorado, before coming to live between Illinois and Iowa. But I've always felt that my true home is somewhere in the south, near the ocean, where the sand is white and the water is clear and blue, and that is where I'm working towards heading:)
What is the name of your most recent book and if you had to sum it up in 30 or less words, what would you say? The Fallen One, the first book of the series Sons of the Dark Mother.
An ancient race and a prophesy fortells of four dark princes, the sons of the dark mother, who will rise up with a nation of old vamps to stop the rogue factions from ruling over mankind. Justice is the first in that prophesy, from the ancient Jaguar People. He is the Prince of Fire. Jess is one of the three sisters of the Jaguar witches who must help him to stop these factions of rogue vamps--or none of their lives will ever be the same
If you gave some of your characters an opportunity to speak for themselves, what would they say?
It would probably be Dracon. And he'd probably ask why humans always think they're alone?
Do you have plans for a new book?   Is this book part of a series? I have quite a few books coming out in 2012:)
I am working on a four part series:) The first one is due out in February or March 2012.
Patti Says:  Holy -*&$#&!  I just looked at your list!!
Book Two: Mira has a new enemy of the Dark Cloth, and she must remember the rest of her past lives, as one of the Children of Atlantis, to help the sister she never knew she had, and who doesn't remember her at all. Now she knows she is one of the Sisters of Three, but she cannot put her youngest sister at risk, and her other sister is missing, and may well be dead. And a powerful enemy has led her to a place where only the memories, she has forgotten, can help her to escape.
They had been raised together. His sister had been her best friend. She had taught them to read and how to speak properly. They had lived the ideal life--for the times. But Jaden and Juliet were her father's slaves, and when he discovered their hidden friendships, he sold them both, leaving Jessica all alone.
Now, years later, her father has received them both back as part of his good friend's dying wish. Though cruel, her father honors his word, and he finds himself in a predicament. He cannot, in good conscience, sell them again, so he has forbidden Jessie to not set foot near them. Jessie wishes to honor her father's wishes--and yet, she misses her best friend. And when she's anywhere near Jaden--something else entirely moves within her breast.
What or who inspired you to write?  And how long have you been writing? Harriet Beecher Stowe. I grew up with the stories that she was my great grandmothers, great aunt. She affected an entire nation--with a story.
Would you like to giveaway a copy of your book on this blog? Definitely! I can give away 5 digital copies of my new upcoming release!:)
How did you come up with the title and cover design? I love art. So book covers are kind of a fun break from writing:)
Patti says:  Me too!
Have you based any of your characters on someone you know, or real events in your own life? No. Not really. They feel more like people I use to know, except for the series that is based on a true story.
Do you prefer ebooks, paperbacks or hardcover? Ebooks:) I can fit a whole library on one device:) I can change the font, change the size of the font, change the color of the font or even the background. I can change the lighting. And I don't have to worry about being allergic to the ink or the smell of the paper.
Plus, I can also buy a book, and within seconds, be reading it:)
Where do you prefer to buy your books? Amazon. Barnes and Noble has too many things wrong with their site. It's not as user friendly. They're my favorite bookstore offline, but not online.
Are you a self published (Indie) Author? Yes:) I have control over the book, the cover, the blurb and where I can sell it:) Self publishing has put the power back where it belongs, with the writer:)
Have you ever read a book more than once? Yes!
Are there any new Authors that have grasped your interest and why? Yes! Patti Roberts, Charlotte Blackwell, Reena Jacobs, Angel Haze, Samantha Young, C. A. Kuntz, and others. Because the write stories with heart. And heart is why we should be writing.
Patti Says: Why thank you!
Is there anything you would change in your last book and why? in Doorway of the Triquetra, because I had just left an 11year relationship, and the grief was paralyzing, as much as the healing from all the trauma emotionally shattered me. I was fighting every single day to breathe. At the time, I knew it was stunting my writing, but it was saving my life, and so I went with what I had inside of me left to give.
Patti says:  Similar story to mine!!!!  Only that is why I started writing.  It was great therapy.
Thanks for having me Patti! *warmhugs*
