Interview with the Vampire - Books and Movie
It hadn't even been a year since a plantation owner named Louis had lost his wife in childbirth. Both his wife and the infant died, and now he has lost his will to live. A vampire named Lestat takes a liking to Louis and offers him the chance to become a creature of the night: a vampire. Louis accepts, and Lestat drains Louis' mortal blood and then replaces it with his own, turning Louis into a vampire. Louis must learn from Lestat the ways of the vampire.

Before Twilight, there was Moonlight.
Moonlight was a short-lived, one-season long TV show that premiered on
CBS in 2007. The series followed private investigator Mick St. John (Alex O’Loughlin), who was turned into a vampire by his bride Coraline (Shannyn Sossamon)
on the couple’s wedding night fifty-five years earlier. In the present
day, he struggles with his attraction to a mortal woman, Beth Turner (Sophia Myles), his friendship with Josef Kostan (Jason Dohring), and his dealings with other vampires in Los Angeles.

I love Eric Northman from the Sookie Stackhouse books. Charlaine Harris does a great job of making him a true vampire (one who behaves like a predator, yet has the charm and sex appeal to make his prey come to him) and sympathetic at the same time. He is the true hero of the series. Vampire Bill is a complete weenie.
ReplyDeleteI am so with you! Agree with everything in that statement!! :0)
DeleteI agree with you!! Love Eric and I wish Charlaine Harris would do a series on him!!
DeleteMadison Lee Lett says: Have u seen the vampire Eric Northmen in True Blood? He's deliciously howt!!! Lol and True Blood is more realistic so it's the best ;P *screaming in the background: Eric is soooooo howt!!*
ReplyDeleteWell, since I wrote Original Blood, a vampire book, I'd have to say six come to mind: Gailene, the vengeful vampire; Zondra, the reluctant vampire; Jeremiah, lover of Gailene, protector of Zondra; Szejna, mysterious, elegant, and ruthless; and the vampire twins, Bodie and Taryn, sexy, dangerous, but exceedingly loyal. As one reviewer stated, they have more going in their heads than blood lust.
ReplyDeleteSara Tyler says: Eric Northman is SEXY AS! And Madison Lee Lett agrees: I'm glad u agree with me Sara :D he's sooo howt and with a lot of swagg
ReplyDeletesend in a link to your hottie http://igossip.com/gossip/new_damon_poster_the_vampire_diaries/1387959
ReplyDeleteMy favourite vampire of all time is Spike from Buffy. James Marsters played him so brilliantly.
ReplyDeleteDeacon Frost from Blade http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sd_lamagra.gif and Louis from Interview with a vampire http://www.carter-stephenson.co.uk/louis/louis3.jpg
ReplyDeleteI have to respectfully disagree, Louis was a wuss who got some balls finally force-fed to him. Lestat IMO is one of the ultimate badasses if not the badass in the whole series!
DeleteI must admit that I am in love with Eric Northman! :-) LOL But Damon runs a close second. :-)
ReplyDeleteDamon has to be number one! Gorgeous, funny, sarcastic and has a heart beneath the cool exterior. Also Klaus would be in the running there too...yums :)
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to go with Kurt Barlow, the vampire in Stephen King's "Salem's Lot". Barlow is a being of unfiltered malice and evil. This ancient vampire (predates the founding of Christianity) has all of the charisma and lure of more modern versions, but his character isn't imbued/cursed with looks that induce fantasies or spontaneous moisture. ;)
ReplyDeleteI prefer the vampire that is wholly evil, blood thirsty and incapable of mercy.
Zack...
Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) from Dark Shadows. Love the 1960s soap...
ReplyDeleteI can't choose just one, so my top 3 are as follows: Eric Northman (seems to be a HOT favourite, lol), Lestat and I can't leave out my own creation - Alexandre, a tortured nineteenth century hottie :)
ReplyDeleteI can think of at least one vampire from every book I've read or show/movie I've seen that I loved. The list would be far too long to name them all. Guess I'm just a vampy kind of girl at heart. :)
ReplyDeleteBuffy the Vampire Slayer & The Vampire Diaries are definitely my fave shows (Angel & Spike FTW). The Underworld series are my fave movies (VIKTOR!!!)
ReplyDeleteBooks would have to include Anne Rice (Armand!) and Elise Valente (The Amaranthine Blood series). Sanaan's strength, vulnerability, and jaded cynicism are refreshing in a genre bogged down by brooding goth vamps.
Angel.
ReplyDeleteAs the Author of Blood and Steel: A Love Story, I would have to say Alex and Stefania. But my opinion is a little biased. https://www.goodreads.com/reader/46350-blood-and-steel here is a free sample on Goodreads.
ReplyDeleteBones from Jeanine Frost's Night Huntress series.
ReplyDeleteAlso Jean Claude from Anita Blake series and Eric Northman from The True Blood Series are tied for 2nd.
