Paradox - The Angels Are Here (Book 1 in the Paradox Series)
I love Patti’s style of writing, it is a book you have to read slowly and carefully, but only so that you don’t miss anything, Patti does such a phenomenal job at describing every detail. I have to thank Patti for allowing me to read her novella and I would recommend this book to all. It is a superb book and I think you will all enjoy it as much as I did. Patti, yes I loved the book, can I ask one question, can I pleaseeeeeee review book 2 for you - it really was the most amazing book I have read in a long time, and that cliffhanger at the end *panting for more* !! Review by: Suzy Turner on July 28, 2011 :
This is so totally different from anything I’ve read recently and I have to say… WOW. Patti Roberts is a truly remarkable writer. The way she weaves her tales among the story is extraordinary. I can honestly say I was in awe of the way she managed to do it. I’d love to have that talent.
Jayde Scott rated it
There's no doubt Patti Roberts is someone who knows how to build strong characters and a vivid setting. I liked the darker side of some of the angels. It was a unique and convincing way to view spirituality and the angels' role within humanity. I also liked how they were connected to Grace and Grace's role within the larger picture. I do agree with others who said some questions were left unanswered, but I feel that was necessary in order to be able to explore those in detail in books to follow.
I wasn't supposed to read this book until I finished two others I had in front of it. After a peak inside I was sucked in and finished the book in one evening. I rarely give five stars, but the fact that I couldn't sleep until I finished it deserves it. Julia Crane
Patti Roberts writes clearly and evokes an emotional reaction as well as deep thought in her readers, clearly an amazing writer. The reader will look forward to the sequel of this novel. – Krystal
I honestly couldn’t stop reading and finished the book in less than 3 hours because I wanted to know what was going to happen next – Alaiel Kreuz
For myself it gave me my first taste of the world of Angels through Patti Roberts eyes and I was not disappointed. – Darkiss Reads
I love A, its bright and really eye catching, but my vote goes to B, its eye catching but mysterious and I would be more likely to buy it to see whats inside:D
ReplyDeleteWell, I've seen the exact models from the last two on two other books, so matter how much i love them, I'd choose the first one
ReplyDeleteI would definitely choose A!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the first book yet, but I bought it and it's on my to read list. However, that being said, Book Cover A caught my attention!
I really like cover A! I thought cover B was a bit too dark and cover C was a bit too light.
ReplyDeleteI vote for A all the way! Color wins for me every time...especially purple!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say cover A. Very pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteChiKittie(at)gmail(dot)com
I love Cover A
ReplyDeleteI vote for C. From a guy view point, the blonde cover girl is the most beautiful and more menacing. The fur and the knife...don't believe I'd mess with her, but I'd want to know her story.
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to cover A, I love the colors, her make up,the checkered like pattern of her face and the mask it's so beautiful that would make a really gorgeous cover.A head turner, reminds me of theater. The first time I saw this one I was like wow! :O I'd love to buy and read that.
ReplyDeleteI did not choose cover B & C because Cover B, is a bit seductive and dark mysterious looking which kinda contradicts with the title Progeny of Innocence. But I like the lighting & hiding in the leaves concept. On the other hand Cover C, is more of the fight scene type, too common,I don't like how she held her sword it's too girly and weak looking but what I do like is her fierce focused eyes & her costume.
So after weighing the pros and cons Cover A For the win :D
I think I like cover A best of all. But cover C would be my second choice.
ReplyDeletefaridamestek@yahoo.com
I think A goes best with your previous cover. Though I like B too.
ReplyDeleteI love cover A and B Patti, but having to vote I would have to pick A. The purple just does it for me :)
ReplyDeleteNatalie
I like A for how colorful it is, but B really piques my interest, it seems very mysterious & invites the reader in to find out what's in store...
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Rai
Can I steal A if you're not interested :) thats the best :))
ReplyDeleteHi Murat, what is your next book about that you are looking for a cover for? Patti
ReplyDeleteI love cover B, its really intriguing, I'd pick the book up in an instant, Cover A would be my second choice
ReplyDeleteI am all for Cover A! It's the first thing that caught my eye :D
ReplyDeleteNatshane
I love B... I love the font style and the layout...words are more important here.
ReplyDeleteB. ;)
ReplyDeleteI would go with B. I love it, pulls me in.
ReplyDeleteLove B. A is way too cartoonish ans C is more like old school books...B is the closest one that resembles todays modern style and it give off a mysterious vibe.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely have to cast my vote for Cover B. I like the mystery of it. Cover A looks a little too court jester and Cover C makes me think viking costume, so definitely going with B here!
ReplyDeleteI really think Cover A looks best side by side to Book 1, so my vote goes to Cover A...and the purple POPS out and grabs the eye.
ReplyDeletecassandra
I love B, something about innocence, you have given us good choices though.
ReplyDeleteI like them all but I think cover B goes best with the title.
ReplyDeleteA :)
ReplyDeleteI love cover B - I would immediately pick it up to check out the story if I saw it :) They are all lovely, but B is definitely my favorite.
ReplyDeletei love B i would buy that although they are all good
ReplyDeletegreat giveaway

Cover B :D
ReplyDeleteI like the cover on B.
ReplyDeleteI Vote for B!love the mysterious aura of it...the dark background and the intensity of the eyes!
ReplyDeleteI vote for B..........I love that cover!!!!!
ReplyDeletecover B! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeletesstogner1 at gmail dot com
I LIKE A!!!!
ReplyDeleteA looks amazing,, but I have to pick B! It ties in best with the cover of Book 1 and makes there a sense of continuity plus it just looks awesome. There's like a perfectly balanced amount of innocence and suspicion/ eeriness to it =)
ReplyDeleteI am in the minority but I like B because of the mystery of it. I think A is also very beautiful but I think C is a little to Conan the Barbarian for me. :)
ReplyDeleteiteachfl@aol.com
To me Cover C looks like a DVD cover. B is good but is maybe a mix between A and C. Cover A looks like a proper book cover- a really good one. It would make me want to read it. So cover A.
ReplyDeleteI really like cover A it was the first that "pops" out at me. My second choice would be cover B.
ReplyDeleteI would go for A . It looks so AMAZING !!
ReplyDeleteI think my pick is B then c.
ReplyDeleteLove A, the purple does it for me (possibly because I have just painted a wall that colour???). It is a beautiful cover, and I like the colourful detail on the mask contrasted against the hazy background. The bright red, party-open lips also hint at something to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI also like B, as it is dark and mysterious... and the girl has an interesting twinkle in her eye, the face is saying something to me...
C does nothing for me, and a female warrior is nothing new...
Mmm, difficult choice... but A & B definitely present you with questions to be answered.
Cover A! Got my attention right away.
ReplyDeletejwhitus@hotmail.com
I like the three of them, but I think the B cover pass more with the first book. It looks more dark than the others.
ReplyDeleteI love B the most.
ReplyDeletesandric.sk at gmail dot com
Prefer B... danie dot cutter at googlemail dot com
ReplyDeleteI really like B the best.
ReplyDeleteknitrix29(at)gmail(dot)com
I really love cover A!
ReplyDeletemarsha.elakkari@gmail.com
They are all very good but I'd say #B is best
ReplyDeleteA is my favourite, Patti.
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between A and B but I think I like B better =)
ReplyDeletek-books@hotmail.co.uk
Since I haven't read Book 1 it's hard for me to say, but because the title has the word "innocence', I would go for B since that one seems the most innocent to me...
ReplyDeleteI think you should go with B ... although A is very bright and colorful so it catches your eye. No I say go with B :D
ReplyDeleteI would think B. A is nice, but as the story is on Altair the mask in A is too "Earth". And C does not strike me as "innocent"...
ReplyDeleteB. The mask on the cover of A borders on clown-like and garish, but B makes you want to know more about the book. C just makes me think of Disney's Mulan.
ReplyDeleteI like A.
ReplyDeleteI commented on your FB post, but I want to enter the drawing :P
ReplyDeleteI like the composition for B more because in A, her face dominate one side. Is there any way the girl in B could be lighter, though? I vote B in the end!
emilyannward @ yahoo . com
I'm going to go with B. There's something about it that grabs me right from the start.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I like B the best, it doesn't seem to match the title as much as A does. A is more magical/mystical looking.
ReplyDeletetweezle(at)gmail(dot)com
All the covers are amazing, but cover A is the most beautiful, i love the mask. :)
ReplyDeletei_love_pups8@hotmail.com
Thankx for the giveaway! All the covers look amazing, but cover A is the most beautiful, I love the mask.! :)
ReplyDeletei_love_pups8@hotmail.com
I love Cover A!
ReplyDeleteAnother vote for A! But I also really love B.
ReplyDeleteamanda(at)lettersinsideout(dot)com
Love cover A!
ReplyDeleteI think I have to vote for A. I really like B, but I've seen a million covers like that before. A is very original and catches the eye. My problem with C is that the two sides of her face are not symmetrical.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to vote for B!
ReplyDeleteI vote B. I don't care much for C at all, it does not depict angels very well. A just doesn't say angels to me, it has more of a midieval feel to it. The model in B looks too old for the story, but it fits soo much better with the paranormal theme. Cover A's model almost looks as though she has wings the way the light flitters behind her.
ReplyDeleteI like cover B :)
ReplyDeletelady.hinata@gmail.com
Voting for B... definitely! It's just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm voting for B! I think its the best!!
ReplyDeleteCover A.
ReplyDeleteLooks more striking.

I like cover A the best, but a close second is cover C :D
ReplyDeletejwitt33 at live dot com
I really like B. Very mysterious!
ReplyDeletebloggingbooks @gmail .com
wow bloggingbooks, that was very fast! x
ReplyDeleteI think cover A...reminds me of Black Swan.LOL
ReplyDeleteI love cover A!!
ReplyDeleteCover A....Beautiful, haunting, and intriguing. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteI vote for cover B :D
ReplyDeleteCover B is my personal fave. It's got that sort of secretive/inviting feel to it. (Still AmyPotterhead@aol.com)
ReplyDeleteCover B I really like, its calling out to me !! A is very eye catching but B is somewhat mysterious !!!
ReplyDeletekat
kittee_cat@bigpond.com
I have to go with "B" since it fits the feel of the story and is in keeping with the look of book 1's cover.
ReplyDeleteNoraA
NoraAdrienne (at) gmail (dot) com
I love all of them but If I had to pick one I would choose Cover A. :)
ReplyDeletedarkangel231988(at)gmail(dot)com
Memrie
"A" and "B" are both gorgeous, but I have to go with "B", because it looks unique and more eye-catching.
ReplyDeleteyvantis[a]hotmail[dot]com
Kelly
I like cover C. IT makes you look directly at her and feel fear!
ReplyDeleteI pick cover B. Something about it just grabs me.
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to B. I love the vines and the mysterious air. A would be my second choice. :)
ReplyDeleteliedermadchen(at)hotmail(dot)com
Having read none of the story (yet-though I am interested), I would choose B. In my opinion, A, while pretty and colorful, looks like it's trying too hard, and C holds "Warrior Princess" undertones (though, if that is what your main character is or becomes, C is my second choice). At a glance at a bookshelf, though, I would pick up B.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I look forward to reading the series.

Hey i Love A but B is cool also thanks joannie jscddmj[at]aol[dot]com
ReplyDeleteI love cover B!!
ReplyDeleteMorganlafey86(at)aol(dot)com
I like B best, but A is my second choice. I love the color on A, but I think for some reason cover B suits the book better (even though I haven't read it yet!)...
ReplyDeletemccown629[at]gmail[dot]com
I like B best
ReplyDeletelilybrooksfield@gmail.com
I love A the most. All are great but this one definitely caught my eye. I love the colors used and the whole thing with the mask just gives off mystery. This cover would make me want this book.
ReplyDeletesthrnsweetie115@aol.com
I love A but it reminds me of Mardi Gras. C is my second favorite. I found B to be a bit too dark but intriguing. What best suits the story?
ReplyDeleteI love A and B. C's just a little 'meh' in my honest opinion. I adore masquerade stylings so that instantly catches my eye, and the colours are gorgeous. But then B is quite mysterious and pretty too.. I'll say A! It's very eye-catching! :D

Once Upon A Time
Loved the cover for the first book!
ReplyDeleteFor the second book, I really like A but I'm thinking the makeup kinda spoils the overall image :X
So I would choose B :D
Thanks for having this giveaway ^^
Hope this is not too late to join :P
ycelestial@hotmail.com
A is great, but I prefer B. C looks like something from She-Ra; it's a good pic, but it's a bit evocative of old-school fantasy, not mysterious and intriguing like your work. B is perfect.
ReplyDeleteKayleigh & Sharon both won an ebook copy of Paradox - Progeny Of Innocence.
