Where were you born and where do you call home? Born in Chicago, IL...still home to me :)
How long have you been blogging? I've only been blogging for about 5 months, but I've been writing reviews for closer to 5 years.
What is the name of the book you most recently blogged about? Witch Song by Amber Argyle, she's a super nice author and the book was shockingly good-check it out!
What did you think about the cover? The cover has this beautiful picture of a girl on the front, she has goldenish hair and golden eyes. I loved it.
If you could ask the Author 3 questions what would they be?
1) Why did you choose to write in the fantasy genre?
2) How did you choose the unique names (main character is Brusenna and mother is Sacra)?
3) Are any of the characters based off of you or anyone you know?
Can you name one of your favorite chapters? Chapter 3, Brusenna learns more about her past and the dangers in the present.
What was you most favorite character and why? Brusenna, she is the main character and she is genuinely sweet, caring, and intelligent.
If this book was part of a series, would you read the next book? Heck. Yes.
Was this a book you were asked to review or did you buy it? I was lucky enough to win a book from the author's giveaway.
Have you written a book yourself or are you planning to in the future? Not yet, too much school taking up my time ;) Maybe in the far future.
What genre is your favorite and why? I suppose young adult, I have always thought that young adult novels were more inventive and creative than, say, adult fiction. I can identify with the characters and plots better as well.
If you were shipwrecked on a desert island what 3 books would you want with you? I suppose an ereader doesn't count? >< How about...a compilation of the Harry Potter books-you know, the ones that are all put together in one huuuuuge book. The Bible, should keep me reading for a loooong time. For the third I'm leaning towards Divergent by Veronica Roth.
Is there an Author that you would really like to meet? Veronica Roth!!!
Do you prefer ebooks, paperbacks or hardcover? Paperback, they're easy to carry with me while I commute and I prefer to hold the real book-an ereader doesn't have the same scent as newly bought books or books in general and I don't like staring at a screen...
Where do you prefer to buy your books? I preferred Borders! I am depressed over their recent closing-down :( I guess now I'll have to go with Amazon.
Have you ever read a book more than once? Of course, who hasn't ;)?
Is there a particular movie or TV series that you preferred over the book version? Nope, never.
What book are you currently reading and in what format (ebook/paperback/hardcover)? I am now re-reading Carrier of the Mark by Leigh Fallon (it was THAT good).
What book are you about to start reading? Spellbound by Cara Lynn Schulz
What book do you know that you will never read? Probably books in German, cause I don't know German...I love all books!
Are there any new Authors that have grasped your interest recently and why? Veronica Roth, she's just amazing at writing dystopians. Leigh Fallon, loved her take on Celtic mythology. Constance Sharper, how many books are written about Harpies? Awesome. There are too many others to even name.
Have you read a book that you would like to rewrite the ending of? Sometimes, I admittedly prefer happily ever after endings...realistic or not ><
What are your thoughts on book trailers? I tend to like them if they are actually well-done, sometimes words showing on a screen with a slowly changing background doesn't do it for me.
Do you have a favorite book cover? Choose up to 3 if you like. I love Wither, Spellbound, and Wildefire.
Do you ever blog in your PJ’s? ...>.> yes
Sleep in or get up early? both, depends on the school day.
Pet peeves? not too many, drives me nuts when I don't put something in its rightful place right away.
What is on your Christmas wish list? Books! Maaaaaaybe an ereader. socks, a given. Amazon gift card (finally got my mother her lawn chair cover with my last card :). Chocolate Santas!
If you could plan the perfect holiday, what would it be? I think Christmas is already perfect. I go all out. Dress up like an elf and bake sugar and chocolate chip cookies...decorate extensively, hand them out to our nearest nursing home and my little sister's grade in school, family, and friends. Then I have the best time buying presents for people, go everywhere in Chicago O.O and I make my poor, saintly mother wrap them cause my wrapping job looks like a two-year old's. I do all of this while laughing too :)
How often do you blog? Everyday, usually for 2-3 hours (if you count commenting on other blogs)...I get bored in class ><
How many books do you read in a month - roughly? 30-60 depends
